Evaluation
In the Outpatient Department for Adults, so-called stepped-care treatment approaches have been developed for the psychosocial treatment of torture victims and traumatized refugees and are being scientifically evaluated. This is a multimodal approach (i.e. psychotherapeutic, psychiatric and social work components) specifically tailored to the needs of war and torture survivors who have recently arrived in Europe.
Changes (before, 6 months after the start of treatment as well as and after completion of treatment) in psychological distress with regard to the expression of post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and anxiety are surveyed.
